Calorific Value

LPG has an all-time higher calorific value while compared with Liquid fuel. This means for heating the same batch of materials you need to burn more FO compared to LPG. Also, with FO there is no possibility of direct heating while with LPG that is a possibility.

Cost Effective

Liquid fuel might be the cheaper fuel but it tends to damage the machine parts majorly through oxidation and sulphuric acid formation. In the long run, this will prove costly for the machine maintenance. Also it can affect the product during applications such as heat treatment where rejection rate tends to be higher. While, the same is not the case with LPG as it enjoys close to complete combustion and has negligible amount of Sulphur.

Sludge formation

In case of Liquid fuel, especially during long storage, the asphaltene particles tend to flocculate and settle down as sludge. This in turn chokes the pipelines, nozzles, burners etc. However, with LPG that will never happen.

Preheating of Fuel

Preheating of fuel is required to maintain the viscosity that leads to energy waste and extra cost. In addition, the preheating time is also huge. This kind of issues will not exist with LPG because it’s a cleaner burning fuel.
