What is Hydro Testing

Cylinder hydro testing or hydrostatic test is a statutory test for newly manufactured cylinders. All cylinders are subjected to a bulk test to check for any leaks. This process is carried out at test pressure conditions, and the pressure is applied for 30 seconds to check for any pressure drops or leaks from the body and weld joints.

LPG is a flammable gas. A hydrostatic test is essential to avoid any leakages from a filled cylinder which can cause unwanted and hazardous situations. Gas cylinder hydro test ensures maximum safety and quality of the cylinders for both LPG workers and end users/customers.
