Our customer has been a significant contributor to the development of the casting industry, and their facility at Coimbatore is strategically planned to manufacture high-quality steel castings. The main offices are connected to the foundry offices to manage production processes.
They have set up a unique methodology of Pep set (three-part) no-bake foundry processes aligned to the requirements of alloy and steel industries. With the latest technologies and machinery, they have minimized human intervention in these processes and optimized their performances. Augmenting the infrastructure has been their primary objective for catering to the growing demands of this industry. The customer used Diesel for their application, which has been converted to LPG.
The challenges faced by the customer pre-conversion to LPG:

Our initial discussion started in 2018 by collecting the basic input data of fuel consumption, preparing a complete cost-benefit analysis report for the customer, and submitting the ROI.
They almost finalized with the local vendor for free installation and supply for LPG, based on which the LPG shed was constructed as per the drawing, which lacked technical expertise.
Finally, after several negotiations, they chose SUPERGAS, considering our technical expertise and the strength of the support function team. The agreement was signed in September’21 and was commissioned in Feb’22, along with the secondary piping project.
The process of heat treatment in their industry uses basic techniques, viz., case hardening, annealing, tempering, and normalizing. Our customer possesses an in-house infrastructure to conduct these processes accurately under controlled conditions.
